I will take this a step further and send positive thoughts not only to our troops, but the Iraqi troops helping us, plus the innocent people caught in the middle of all of this.

I wish nothing but the best for our troops and hope a speedy solution is the one we get.
Godspeed.
Pina,
The people made their choice on Nov 2nd. Bush won and the battle will rage. Even if Kerry had won this fight is necessary. Whether its Fallujah, Baghdad, Samara, or where ever, this thing has got to end. It will NEVER end with piece meal battles being fought haphazzardly. You should know that.
If, like your article states, the terrorists have fanned out to othe cites, then we will take the other cites in due course.
You know, I know, and probably the rest of the world knows we have been fighting this war with one testicle tied behind our backs. If this offensive is the beginning of removing the gloves and actually bringing death and destruction to the bad guys, I am ALL for it.

I just wonder if the assualt using heavy artillery is the right way of doing it. And I dont mean that in a military way, more from the point of view of the ordinary person in Iraq.
Seeing huge casualties and Homes blown to pieces is not going to get them onside.
And we do need them onside, or this will be a bloodbath, and you have to fear for our boys.
Could`nt the town of been isolated to nulify any threat from terrorist`s?
Sean - the town HAS been isolated. It has been surrounded by Marines since April. They have just been waiting for the word to go.
